Our History
Reverend Kwaku Adu-Wusu founded A-Life Baptist Church and officially registered it on December 14, 2004. However, the first church service was held on January 9, 2005, at his residence in TX.
He was born in Ghana. Coming from a non-Christian, Muslim background, he converted to Christianity and received mentorship under a seasoned minister of the gospel while in Ghana. Having recognized the call of God, he availed himself for the work of the ministry and pursued biblical studies in ministry at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. He has a heart for missions and a desire to bring the nations to Christ.
After much prayer, waiting on the Lord, and affirmation by his dearest wife and partner in ministry, Mrs. Comfort Adu-Wusu, the Lord Jesus entrusted into their hands the vision, with a scripture found in John 10:10.
The birth of this vision came with clear directives from God to lead people to salvation and empower their God-given potential to achieve their calling and dreams. God has blessed them with a family.
In retrospect, we recall the challenging days of waiting for laborers (the Aarons and Hurs), searching for a permanent place of worship, managing a new church, and balancing a full-time job. Graciously, God has been faithful and continues to strengthen us.
In the abundance of God’s mercy and grace, today we have about ten (10) countries represented in our congregation. We can testify that people of all ages have received Christ, both at home and in the mission field. In many ways, God is providing the lamb for the sacrifice. Therefore, we remain grateful to God and thankful to all who are called to serve and support the ministry in His Vineyard.
